COVID-19 Remote Work & Communication Tools Offers

With COVID-19 causing issues worldwide and forcing many businesses to work from home. For those who have never really done any work from home or telecommuting, they will need tools to bridge the communication gap they now face.

Even for those that aren’t working remotely, some of these tools are a great way to keep in contact while we all have to isolate.

Here is a list of the tools we’ve found that can help:

Discord — Is an app used to chat with your communities and friends, normally favoured by gamers, but is also used by others. They have increased their live streaming and screen share limit from 10 to 50.

Google Hangouts — Google’s video calling software is adding the premium features to it at no additional cost.

PukkaTeam — Our tool, that helps make a virtual office, with inbuilt communication tools such as video calling. We’ve created a discount code (LOVEREMOTE2020) which reduces all packages prices by 50% for 6 months and we’ve increased our free trial period to 60 days.

Yac — Is a voice messaging app for remote teams. They are extending their free trial and providing their education resources for free.

Microsoft — They have started offering a free trial for the Team chats app on their premium package for 6 months. This will allow users to record meetings and have 1TB of storage, neither of which are available on the free version.

Tandem.chat — This lets you create a virtual office for remote teams. They’ve made theirs free for next few months.

LogMeIn — They will be offering critical front-line service providers with free, organization-wide use of many LogMeIn products for 3 months through the availability of Emergency Remote Work Kits, which will include GoToMeeting.

Cisco Webex — They are providing the free version of their Webex service, which includes video calling with no restrictions, up to 100 participants and Offers toll dial-in (in addition to existing VoIP capabilities. They are also offering a free 90 day license to businesses who are not currently Webex customers.

Zoom — Zoom already has a free version of their video conferencing software, which they extending to China to allow unlimited meeting time and breakout rooms, as well as removing restrictions on participants.

They are also creating resources and hosting information sessions to help small businesses use Zoom. Zoom are also running network tests to ensure maximum reliability and uptime.
